Do MagN'Keepers interfere with other equipment used in the line of duty?

There were no issues reported during testing by police officers, but as stated in the disclaimer, MTS assumes no liability for any issues that could arise in future claims. The magnetic field faces inward toward the body and upon contacting the steel magnet trap of the garrison belt. In theory, there should be little or no magnetic field facing outward to cause interference. For this reason, it is especially, important users do not have a pacemaker or any other medically necessary device on person that could suffer from interference of any magnetic field. While the magnets could ruin a credit card if put right up against a magnet, the field did not affect cards placed in pockets throughout the body in testing. Similarly, the magnets from body cameras in placed in the center of the chest did not affect credit cards in the shirt breast pockets.

How do MagN'Keepers work?

Each individual MagN'Keeper replaces a traditional snap/Velcro belt keeper. One keeper is actually composed of two pieces, a dress belt metal clip with a strategically designed magnet trap that faces outward, and a duty belt metal clip with an inward facing magnet. Both clips are intended to be put on each of their respective belts in a semi-permanent fashioned to ensure the magnets line up each time even after a person changes pants, or removes/replaces the duty belt. Having the clips stay in place on the duty belt also prevent gear from sliding around as freely. A clasped buckle on a tight fitting belts is what completes the system of belt locking security.

How hard is it to pull off the duty belt from the dress belt?

The magnets used in manufacture have a 90 lb holding power when attached to eachother. However, this translates to about 30 lbs of vertical holding power if a steel object were hanging. Nevertheless, do not be fooled. If you were to stick only the magnet to a steel object it would be difficult or impossible to remove without sliding it off of the flat steel plate. In this belt over belt concept, the magnets are fairly easily removed from the magnet trap using the leverage of the belt once the belt is unclasped/unbuckled in the front. However, when the belt is secured around one's waist, the magnets are securely trapped by design to remain firmly attached to the inside belt to prevent your duty belt from moving in the most extreme duty applications.

What are the products limitations?

With proper care and maintenance, the magnets can last up to 400 years without becoming demagnetized. If the keepers are dropped on a solid surface forcefully, or exposed to extreme heat 176 degrees Fahrenheit/80 degrees Celsius, demagnetization is possible. The finish of the metal clips is designed to prevent oxidization, but should be cared for with light gun oil occasionally, or after extreme exposure to elements. This is similar finish to that of other duty gear, such as a baton. However, stainless steel is not a manufacturing option because it is not magnetic by nature.
